What is the rate to calculate excess baggage?

If you wish to take more than your allotted baggage allowance, you can pay to check-in additional or overweight baggage.  

Excess and overweight baggage charges are dependent on the regions you are travelling between.  

For flights to/from North and South America, charges are based on the following per piece rate:  

  • One extra piece weighing up to 32kgs for Business Class customers and up to 23kgs for Economy Class customers – USD 200  
  • For Economy Class customers only: overweight piece weighing between 23kgs and 32kgs – USD 50  

Meanwhile, for flights between all other regions, charges are based on the total excess baggage weight. To calculate your excess or overweight baggage charges, please find your departure and arrival destinations in the table below.
