I have bought beverages from the Duty Free, can I transit in Doha without this being confiscated?

Qatar Airways allows you to carry alcoholic beverages purchased from the Duty Free along with your hand baggage, when packed in Duty Free packing with the receipt, in receptacles of less than 5 litres. Your beverages will not be confiscated, while you are in transit at Hamad International Airport, Doha, Qatar.

Kindly note that customers travelling to Melbourne, who purchase alcoholic beverages or cosmetics in an airport other than Hamad International Airport, are likely to have their beverages confiscated by ground staff at the departure gate. This is in accordance with local Australian regulation.

If you intend to enter the State of Qatar, please be informed that alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be imported under any circumstances.
